On April 24, 2013, in Bangladesh, the Rana Plaza garment factory collapsed, killing 1135 people. This disaster brought to light the appalling working conditions in those countries where labor is very cheap. The scandal concerned brands like H'&M, Zara or C'&A and their subcontractors running under the same conditions this factory as well as many others.
