WHICH DEFINITION IS EASIER TO UNDERSTAND GENOME EDITING?

Hello,
I should explain genome editing for my survey. can you help me to know which one is the most easier?
Thank you so much

Which definition is clearer for you ?

DEFINITION 1:
This scientific method is to obtain new characteristic of a plant for example. You are a gardener and you want to obtain a black rose. You have seed of red rose and sand. Sand is the molecular scissor, it can cut part of our DNA (big molecule (basis of life) which encode all our life). Sand can change the part of DNA of color of rose. When the seed (original organism) is in contact with sand we have more chance to change the color of our flower. We can obtain few colors, pink, red, purple and black. We have more chance to obtain black with this method than natural mutation (modification of DNA). Black color can be another characteristic of interest such as improve quantity of nutriment (vitamin).

DEFINITION 2:
Genome editing is a tool that scientists are using to edit or change genome to obtain new characteristic. The genome is such as a recipe. Sometimes your dishes are not good or not similar that what did your Grandma for example, when you were young. DNA is the language of genome and in our example, it can be food. In genome editing we will use molecular scissor (spices, salt or sugar) which can find a specific place in genome and make small cuts and edit it. It allows the dish to be more salty, sweet, spicy to be better and close to what we want.

Question 2

GENOME EDITING: Definition from scientist: Genome editing is the insertion, deletion or replacement of DNA at a specific site in the genome of an organism or cell. It is usually achieved in the lab using engineered nucleases also known as molecular scissors.
